European ancestry raises IQ in Blacks independently of skin color, confirming genetic causation via Jensen effect.

IQ correlates positively with lighter skin color in Blacks and Hispanics. Color-IQ correlation shows strong Jensen effect, implicating biological causation. Biological causes produce g(+) effects while cultural causes produce g(-) effects. Genes, brain volume, fetal alcohol, age, inbreeding, and SES (biological parent) show g(+). Flynn effect, test training, and Protestant effects show g(-). Colorism fails as darker Blacks/Hispanics aren't discriminated against for IQ gaps. Reported European ancestry correlates positively with IQ in African Americans. Blacks reporting only African ancestry have lower IQ and darker skin than those reporting European ancestry. European ancestry predicts higher IQ after controlling for skin color. Skin color does not mediate ancestry-IQ association in Add Health or NLSY97. Ancestry-IQ link stronger than color-IQ link due to recent admixture recall. Color proxies ~15% White ancestry SD while reported ancestry captures more recent White input. Lighter Blacks with two Black parents imply ~40% White admixture equivalent to one White grandparent. Jensen effect on color effect rules out psychometric bias or cultural causes.
