Initial analysis claimed Piast male line R1b-S747 from 5th-6th century Scotland. Haplogroup misassignment resulted from DNA degradation, contamination, or sequencing errors. Correct haplogroup is R1b-U152, present in pre-Slavic Polish lands. Piasts likely of local origin on Kuyavian-Mazovian line. Only 33 burials identified as Piast, mostly R1b with some R1a. Analyzed lines from three sons of Bolesław Krzywousty. No earlier generations than Władysław Herman analyzable. Radiocarbon dates mismatch historical timelines for Władysław Herman and Bolesław Krzywousty. Herman's bones dated to 14th century despite 1044-1102 life. Krzywousty's bones dated to 15th-16th century despite 1086-1138 life. Some identifications like Ziemowit III and Władysław II match dates. Full publication pending to resolve discrepancies.
