Urfa Man statue discovered near Urfa Turkey dated to Pre-Pottery Neolithic around 9000 BC. Statue stands nearly 1.90 meters tall with obsidian eyes and V-shaped collar. Depicts man with hands clasped over erect phallus in Taş Tepeler tradition. Found during construction at Yeni Mahalle site carbon-dated to 8600 BCE. Contemporaneous with Göbekli Tepe and Nevalı Çori sites. Older than Ain Ghazal statues but after Upper Paleolithic figurines like Venus of Willendorf. Similar statue found at Karahan Tepe dated 9400 BC. Claims title of world's oldest known statue. Part of monumental phallic male statues in Upper Mesopotamia. Exact find location poorly recorded possibly from Urfa Yeni-Yol.
