Andamanese are indigenous Negritos of Indian Andaman archipelago. They split into tribes like Onge, Jarawa around 750 people, Sentinelese 100-300. Anthropologically closest to Melanesians. They live as nomads fishing, gathering, hunting sea turtles and forest game. Until recently unable to make fire. Traditional lifestyle eroding from mainland immigrants. Survived by fierce resistance shooting arrows including poisoned ones at approaching boats. Recent attacks noted on North Sentinel Island. Hold animistic beliefs and worship monsoon gods. Reference declares goodbye Africa hello Asia.
