In order to better understand the mechanisms of reactions taking place in the atmosphere and the nature of the processes that volatile compounds of plant origin undergo, scientists from the Institute of Physical Chemistry of the Polish Academy of Sciences, in cooperation with researchers from TROPOS in Leipzig and NIC in Slovenia, determined the lifetimes of individual molecules and determined what transformations they undergo in the air.
