Poles have developed a neural network using "massive" photons
Go to the source page
The team led by the Poles was the first in the world to build a neural network (artificial neuron) based on "massive" photons - particles of light that behave as if they have mass (so-called polaritons). The researchers hope that the use of light in artificial intelligence calculations is an opportunity for major energy savings.
