Problems of artificial crowding in a cell? They were investigated at the IPC PAS
Go to the source page
By studying various biochemical reactions, scientists outside the cell of a living organism try to reproduce the "crowding" that usually characterizes such a cell in nature. They use specific molecules to do this. However, it turns out that these compounds are not so chemically inert at all. At the IPC PAS, the effect of the presence of various compounds that increase cellular artificial crowding on the course of the biochemical reaction was studied.
