Twisted magnet for faster electronics
Go to the source page
A metallic "twisted" magnet conducts current more easily in some directions than in others and gives a strong signal to read it without an external field. This is an opportunity for spintronics. The breakthrough was made by an international team with the participation of Kamil Kolincio, PhD, of the Gdansk University of Technology.
