Capgemini CEO Srinivas Kandula mentioned that 65% of IT workers are not trainable. We have long heard that only 15-25% of graduates are trainable and that the IT industry only recruits people from this group. But now we are hearing that even in this group, 65% are actually not trainable and were probably hired because there was no other option and perhaps there was enough work of very low quality. And now that the industry's growth rate is slowing down and uncertainty reigns in its largest market, it may be better to recruit people with no experience for such low-quality jobs than to pay for experienced hands.
