Local police in Roda de Berà (Tarragona) on Wednesday arrested a 47-year-old man, a resident of the municipality, accused of sexually assaulting ponies and sheep on two farms and causing the death of one of the animals, the council reported. The man is a Moroccan citizen. The investigation began in November 2022, when the first attacks allegedly occurred, following a report from the owner of one of the endangered farms, who reported serious genital injuries to two animals as a result of the sexual assault. The man then repeatedly sexually assaulted five animals on another farm, causing the death of one of them as a result of his injuries.
