Ceramics from 8,000-4,000 years ago: uniform design in North America, Eastern Europe, Thailand and China. The key to the answer is the DNA of the settlers

A surprising similarity was observed in some ceramics and figurines from several cultures of Eastern Europe (Trypillia-Cucuteni culture, 6500-5500 years ago), Thailand (Ban-Chiang culture, between 7400 and 3800 years ago), China (Yangshao culture, between 8000 and 4000 years ago) and North America (Anasazi-Mogollon culture, between 7500 years ago and the present). It is noteworthy that the ceramics of these four cultures overlap in 17 (45%) of the 38 indicators used to distinguish archaeological ceramics in comparative studies. Interestingly, all four cultures with ceramics of similar appearance also use the swastika as a common symbol. We hypothesize that all four cultures are connected by the migrations of Arians (R1a carriers) between 5500 and 3000 years ago. While Arian migrations in Eurasia are well confirmed by DNA data, those in the Americas are not yet known. Consideration of R1a haplotypes among Native Americans does not contradict the hypothesis.
