About 1.2 million people in the United States are infected with HIV. About 13 percent of them are unaware of it and need testing. HIV continues to disproportionately affect certain ethnic groups, especially racial and ethnic minorities and gay, bisexual and other men who have sex with men (MSM). Hetero sex accounts for 22% of transmission, drug injection 7%, gay sex 67%.
