The article describes in detail the new fossil hominid skull KNM-ES-11693 from Eliye Springs, Kenya. Despite dating problems, the well-preserved fossil specimen shows morphological features of archaic Homo sapiens. It is compared with African early and late archaic Homo sapiens.
