Industrial production in the Eurozone and EU fell in December 2024 compared to the previous month. The capital goods sector suffered the most, while output of non-durable consumer goods increased. The largest declines were recorded in Belgium, Portugal and Austria, while increases were recorded in Ireland, Luxembourg and Croatia.
