The study examines the role of fathers in children's development. Mothers, children's temperament and fathers' competence affect fathers' involvement, which in turn affects children's development. The study included 216 Turkish mothers and fathers and their children aged 2-6. The results indicated that fathers' involvement was determined by many factors and affected children's development.
