Origin of Negritos: Genetic research and breed mixing in Southeast Asia
Go to the source page
Genetic studies have shown that Negritos, groups indigenous to the Philippines, Malaysia and the Andaman Islands, have roots going back to the ''First People of Sundaland.'' Genetic analyses have shown that Negritos are basal to other East and Southeast Asians, and show traces of Denisovan mixing. Shared genes may be related to skin pigmentation, height and resistance to malaria.
