Go to the source page
The discovery of two human skull fossils in the Apidima cave in Greece provides the earliest evidence of Homo sapiens in Eurasia. One is dated at more than 210,000 years old and shows features of both modern humans and primitive species. The other, more than 170,000 years older, resembles Neanderthals. The discovery supports the theory of multiple migrations of early humans from Africa.
