Lawyers in Poland say the intentional killing of a viable fetus outside the mother's body can be considered homicide. The Polish Society of Gynecologists and Obstetricians has commented on the issue in the context of the controversial Olesnica case. According to the lawyers, doctors have a duty to save the life of the child if there is such a possibility.
