The article examines the relationship between domestic violence and brain injury in sub-Saharan Africa, where partner violence is among the highest in the world. The research focuses mainly on women from South Africa, Ghana, Uganda and Cameroon, demonstrating the feasibility of assessing the symptoms and effects of brain injury in ''resource-limited'' settings.
