Temporal distribution of human pathogens in ancient Eurasia: human remains of modern humans in South Asia only since 10,000 BC
Go to the source page

Human remains did not appear in South Asia until 40,000 years after the land connection with Australia was closed - the reason may be the rapid decomposition of skeletons in the humid climate, but it should be remembered that there are remains of other hominids from older periods found in that area. If we assume for a moment that humans were not actually there before 10,000 BC, then what entered Australia and the oceanic islands, becoming Aborigines, Papuans and Filipinos? A hybrid of Neanderthal, Deniowian and Erectus?
